Silk Road Meeting — Details

The Silk Road Astronomy Research and Education Alliance (Silk Road AREA) is pleased to announce its second meeting, or 14th Silk Road Meeting. This event aims to unite global experts in exploring the frontiers of dynamical astronomy through high-performance computing, artificial intelligence, and other advanced astronomical research techniques. It will be an excellent platform for sharing knowledge, fostering collaborations, and discussing the future directions of astronomical research. Researchers from any country with an interest in the topics covered are enthusiastically welcome to participate.

Key Topics

Research areas include the following (but not limited to):

Stellar dynamics

From open clusters to galactic nuclei.

Compact objects

Black holes, neutron stars, and white dwarfs in stellar systems.

Star Formation

Processes of star formation and stellar evolution.

Gravitational Waves

Detection, theory, and astrophysical implications.

Planetary Systems

Formation, dynamics, and detection of exoplanetary systems.

Interstellar Medium

Physical and chemical processes in the ISM.

High-performance Computing & AI

Applications in dynamical astronomy and simulations.

Observational Techniques

Large-aperture telescopes and cutting-edge instrumentation.

Astronomy Education

Public outreach, education, and capacity building in astronomy.
